In the second half of 2002, Guaranty Trust Bank plc acquired a majority interest in Heritage Assurance, thereby increasing its paid up capital from N 3.6 million to N100.06 million, with a view to repositioning and transforming the Company. POSITION: Management Accounts Officer

Job Description

Reports To: Unit Head - Management Accounts
Job Objective: Financial Accounting And Analysis

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·         Taxation Computation   

·         Review of other debtor, Loss Adjuster and Third Party Claimant ledgers.

·          Weekly reconciliation of Finance to relevant underwriting figures.

·          Preparation of Monthly Management  Report (MMR)

·         Salary schedule review and update of soft copy to the bank

·         Partake in the preparation of financial statements

·         Preparation of financial models

·         Preparation of monthly profitability report (MPR)

·         Presentation of the MPR

·         Monthly review of Domiciliary Accounts

·         Commission payment

·         Preparation of FINSTAT Highlights and other financial analysis as required

·         Responsible for the opening of ledger accounts.

·         Verification of all expenses before payment is made.

·         Participation in yearly budget exercise

·         Take minutes at MPR

·         Pre and post audit review (internal and external)

·         Information gathering for the Insurance industry

·         Carry out other duties that may be delegated from time to time by the Unit Head
