Lagoon Hospitals currently operate two ultramodern specialist facilities in Apapa and Ikeja.As a result of business expansion the following vacancy exists:Job title: Officer – IT Help Desk (Hygeia Group)
Objective:
This position will provide end user and local technical support and assistance for all applications, systems and IT infrastructure across the Hygeia Group.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
· Respond to service requests for technical assistance with respect to all Hygeia Group IT systems, applications and infrastructure.
· Responsible for first level troubleshooting of all systems, applications and infrastructure issues with a view to diagnosing and solving them.
· Manage the escalation and management issues accordingly to established IT support processes and framework.
· Retain ownership of issues – driving all necessary activities to achieve a timely and complete resolution of such issues.
· Communicate solutions to users and document issues according to established processes.
· Assist with the installation, set-up, configuration, deployment, maintenance and upgrades of hardware, software and infrastructure across the Hygeia Group. These will include – but not limited to:
· Desktops and laptops.
· Operating systems.
· Printing, scanning and other related activities.
· Office applications like MS Office.
· Productivity tools like Email, Internet Browsers.
· Local network(s) and printers.
· System integrations.
· PABX.
· 3rd party applications like ID Card Printing.
· Provide client side application support for enterprise applications such as FACTS (Claims Management) and HIMS (Hospitals Information System).
· Provide support for other Group IT deliverables and activities – infrastructure and applications – as assigned and directed.
Qualifications:
· BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
· One or more of the following IT related certifications will be desired: MCSE, MCP, MCSA, ITIL and or related certification tracks.
· 3+ years of progressive experience in IT helpdesk support in a customer service and business partnering role.
· Experience and understanding of the Integrated Healthcare industry model
Key competencies/Functionality:
Advanced knowledge of at least five of the following:
1) MS Networks
2) Novell Networks
3) MS Operating Systems (Client and Servers).
4) Internet Web Browsers.
5) Intranet environments web services
6) Security applications
7) Handheld technology
8) Unix, Linux, Solaris Operating Systems (Client and Servers).
9) Systems integration.
10) Enterprise applications.
